We are thankful to be part of the communities that each of our dealerships serve. Our philosophy has always been to give back what we can to help our communities flourish. Consistent with this belief, we have created some effectual methods to reach out with our gifts, to assist with charitable and educational needs in our neighborhoods.
Local Charities
Beginning in 1999, employees from each of our stores began donating up to $5.00 from each paycheck. Each dealership company matches these monies are matched on a per store basis. Twice a year, an all-employee charity board from each store creates a list of local charities to be considered for donations. This list is voted on by all of the employees of the dealership. The charities to gain the most employee votes receive their donation at our biannual employee recognition luncheons. We are proud to say that our employees have distributed over hundreds of thousands of dollars to the communities in which they live and work!
Education
We believe that the future strength of our communities lies in the education of the children of those communities. That is why, aside from the donations made to local charities through the all-employee charity boards, each of our dealerships helps in funding our Education Foundation. The Foundation supports public schools in our communities and assists the schools in the purchase of books, computers and other learning materials. The Foundation, which was created in 1999, has donated over a million dollars to benefit the children in our local schools.
Recently, The Foundation, with the support of The Conant Auto Retail Group and its family of dealerships, has awarded scholarships to graduating seniors from various high schools participating in Cerritos' College Bound Program, as well as top students attending local college and vocational automotive schools. Along with the scholarships, employees of The Conant Auto Retail Group and its dealerships have also generously volunteered their time to participate in various community educational events.
We are proud to be a part of our local communities and we hope that our gifts help to make a difference.
